Seed and chemical companies attack organic farming through surrogates

Mahatma Gandhi once said, “First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they fight you. Then you win.” The agrichemical industry is now in attack mode. The growth in organic farming practices threatens their business model, which is based on patented seeds that depend on patented chemicals to grow, in a vicious cycle that keeps the farmer paying and ruins his health, (farmers have the highest occupational cancer rate in the country).
